Strong support from the people for keeping cash as a payment method

The People Movement “YES to cash” has gone from being an interest group on the net to an organization. The organization is working against the financial industry’s goal of a cash-free society.

Parliament Politicians Jørun Rytman is among the founders of the organization “YES to cash,” according to NRK news.Rytmans arguments to densify with cash going out on privacy and civil protection.

Finance Norway envisages that a cashless society will be a fact already in 2020. Norway can thus become the first country in the world to remove cash.
Director of digitization and payment of Finance Norway, Jan Digranes, says that Norway is moving towards a cash-free society.
– The need for cash is very small, we have many good payment systems. The mobile may be  used as a payment instrument, and the purchase of goods are on-line, he said.
