The Government is satisfied with their own policies for coping with increased unemployment and oil crisis, but  are considering new crisis measures in the spring.

Secretary of the Treasury, Siv Jensen (FRP), believes the uncertainty surrounding the Norwegian economy is greater now than it has been for a long time.

– We will submit a revised budget in May that makes it possible for the government to change the projections, measures and instruments if it needs to , she says.

– We are prepared to take action in the short term if the situation should demand it, she adds.

On Monday  Jensen attended  a summit on economic developments with Prime Minister Erna Solberg . The two of them discussed the situation with CEO In Norges Bank Oystein Olsen and leading economists.

– We always consider whether we should have more measures, but we must also ensure that the budget we have adopted have been put into motion and is working the way it should, Solberg says to the news agency NTB about the possibility of new emergency measures.
