158.1 million card purchases were carried out in August, 7 percent more than in the same month last year, according to figures from Nets and BankAxept.
The total amount of money used in the credit card purchases amounted to almost NOK 54.2 billion in the previous month, 6.6 percent more than in August 2015.
The second half of August was the part of the month that was most marked by an extensive use of credit cards. August 19 was the day of the month with the largest number of card purchases.
