A initiative that may end the hotel strike is likely to made during the upcoming week, according to  the newspaper VG.

The strike has lasted for three weeks, and so far there has been no concrete proposals for resolving the conflict. According to VG, it was expected that one of the parties of the conflict would come up with an initative to resolve the strike before Pentecost, in order to ensure operation for the weekend and the two holidays. That did not happen, but now the newspaper said that the employers have intimated that they want to enter into a formal dialogue with a view to finding a solution within a week.
– We are ready for dialogue to see if we can find a solution to the conflict,  CIO Vidar Grønli in Fellesforbundet responds.
