Last year, wind power accounted for 1.9 percent of total power production in Norway. Water power dominates completely at 95.8 percent of total production.

Last year’s wind power production was record high by 2.9 TWh, but hydroelectric power production also reached a high level last year

– “In 2017, the hydropower production was 143 TWh, which is the second highest level of the time recorded. This can be seen in connection with large inflows for Norwegian water reservoirs,” says Thomas Aanensen in Statistics Norway.
