In the first two weeks in March, the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) registered a total of 157 asylum seekers.   90 arrived in week 9 and 67 last week.
Only 16 of the 157 who came to Norway in March, are from Syria. Just as many are from Iraq, 14 are from Eritrea, and nine are from Somalia. The largest group, 31 persons, are from Afghanistan.
Almost half of the asylum seekers, 71 people, are from a number of other countries with fewer than five applicants per country.
806 asylum seekers in total have come to Norway Tues in the first ten weeks of 2016. The two largest groups are Afghans and Syrians, with about 150 people from each country. The tendency is that there are fewer Syrians and more Afghans among asylum seekers. At the same time last year, about 1,400 asylum seekers had come to Norway.
