16 year old arrested after stabbing in Oslo

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of having been involved in the stabbing of a man, in Galgeberg in Oslo on Friday night.

The suspect has been taken to jail, and he is being questioned Saturday morning, the Oslo police said. Police searched first for one, later three perpetrators. Now the police thinks that the 16-year-old is the mastermind behind the plot.

– Judging from various witness observations and personal knowledge, we came gradually to the name of a suspect. Based on the information, we struck in at an address in Toyen. On the outside of this address, we encountered the suspect and arrested without drama, says operations manager Tor Jøkling from the Oslo police to the newspaper VG.

The injured man was taken to hospital with apparent serious injuries after the violence incident.

Police received notification from residents who heard a loud noise and yelling that someone had a knife clock 1.24, according to TV 2. Police and paramedics found the man injured when they arrived at the place. He reportedly suffered injuries in an upswing outside an apartment and was conscious when he was taken to hospital.

The Child Protection Agency is notified of the matter.
