16 years imprisonment for murder in Oslo

A Norwegian-Pole is in Oslo District Court sentenced to 16 years in prison for killing Izet Duraku (57) at Oppsal in Oslo in 2014, the newspaper VG reports.

Duraku was shot in the head just inside the door to Oppsal caretaker Central on the 25 of November 2014. He died of his injuries at Ullevål hospital the following day.

The 54-year-old Norwegian-Pole has been charged with premeditated murder and pleaded guilty when the trial began on 25 January.

The man’s lawyer, Oscar Ihlebæk told  the news agency NTB that he has not yet read the verdict.

My  client’s satisfied,  considering the circumstances and  now we’ll take it from there, says Ihlebæk.

The 54-year-old has previously been convicted several times for serious narcotics crime, according to VG.
