Oslo District Court has acquitted a 32-year-old man for attempted murder after a shooting outside bar Da Vinci in Oslo last year.
According to the court, the defendant who is related to gangs in the capital was in a good state of mind when the shots were fired; As a result he should be acquitted, wrote the newspaper VG.
32-year-old was also indicted for having attempted to inflict another’s death, for violating the Firearms Act and for having molested a public servant.
The shooting took place on the night of Sunday May 10 last year outside the Da Vinci bar in Oslo.
The 32-year-old was carrying a pistol with three live bullets. When he was outside of the bar, he straightened the weapon against another man and fired two shots but missed. No one was hit by the shots.
The 32-year-old has previously explained that the shooting occurred in self-defense when his friend was attacked by a number of people.
The charge also included several episodes from 2014 including several cases of drunk driving.
He has previously been convicted of kidnapping, violence and robbery.
The 32-year-old was sentenced in court to six months imprisonment for the actions he was found guilty.
