626 people deported in February

The Police Immigration Service (PU) conducted 626 forced returns in February. Nearly one in four had been sentenced to one or more sanctions, police said.

In the first two months  1,209 persons were forcibly deported from Norway. In the same period last year the number was 1,055.
Of those who were deported in February, 147 had been sentenced to sanctions, which corresponds to 23 percent.
28 minors were forcibly deported in February. Of these, 27 were part of a family.
