Two places in Buskerud have broken a 71 year old record with 65 “high summer” days so far this year. The previous record was 62 days.

“High summer” means that the temperature hits 25 degrees Celsius or higher at one point of time during the day. This has happened 65 days in a row so far this year in Drammen. The previous record holder was Blindern in Oslo, and that was set in 1947.

Sigdal in Buskerud has had 64 high summer days this summer. A total of five places in the county have had over 60 days of high summer days.

Blindern has so far had 59 days at 25 degrees.
