The heat record in Bergen was beaten twice on the same day during what has become the warmest 17th of May for the city.
Between 14:00 and 15:00, the temperature measured 24 degrees C at the Florida station in Bergen, according to Bergens Tidende.
A few hours later, between 17:00 and 18:00, the temperature had increased to a further, 24,3 degrees C.
And in Stavanger, it was tied by the heat record from 1980, according to Stavanger Aftenblad.
This year it was 23.4 degrees at its warmest.
This is a tangent of the highest temperature so far measured on May 17 at Våland weather station in Stavanger, informs the meteorologist on duty, Haldis Berge to Aftenbladet.
And the heat took off during the National Constitution Day celebration. Fainting in very hot bunads, (national costumes) were reported in and around the 17th of May parades around the district.
