Schoolchildren across the country have started their first week of summer vacation, but not everyone will be able to swim in the sea and enjoy good summer weather. The weather differences between the regions are large.

In several places east of the mountains, there will be between 25 and 30 degrees of heat in the coming days. Some places will get even warmer weather, warned the meteorologist Rafael Escobar Løvdahl to NTB.

“All in all, there will be proper summer weather in these areas,” says Løvdahl, adding that the nice summer weather will have a slight break at the weekend.

– Then there may be some wind and downpours, with somewhat lower temperatures.

Western Norway south of Stadt will have a high pressure from the British Isles over the following days. The weather will vary depending on wind direction. Mostly, it will be nice weather and temperatures around 25 degrees. By the end of the week, however, some rain is expected.

“It’s temporary and will be a little interruption from the good weather,” said the meteorologist.

Also in central Norway, nice weather, sun and rising temperatures may be replaced by rainfall and cloud cover when the weekend is approaching.

Northern Norway has not seen much summer weather this year, nor does it seem to change this week. Both Nordland and Troms will see wind, rainfall and temperatures are expected to be around 5 to 10 degrees.

“In Northernmost part of Norway, however, they will have the best weather in East Finnmark and Finnmarksvidda. Low pressures are expected but temperatures that can reach up to 20 degrees, “says Løvdahl.
