The Norwegian Public Roads Administration must make changes to its systems for vehicle services. This will lead to a number of closed traffic stations between the 25th and 28th of April.

During this period, it will not be possible to buy trials, deliver sales messages, pay re-registration fees, carry out re-registration or deregister vehicles.

Since employees also do not have access to the vehicle services, many traffic stations will be closed.

The Public Roads Administration will introduce changes to its services. From April 29, you must pay re-registration fees directly to the tax authorities using the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s digital self-service solution. It will no longer be possible to pay the fee at a traffic station.

From the same date, you will have to identify yourself when you deliver a sales message on paper. This can be done either by delivering the sales message digitally on the Road Administration’s website, or by visiting a traffic station.

‘’We regret that we have to close access to the services for so long. It is a 40-year-old system that is to be renewed at the same time as we install and test new solutions’’ said Erik Johannessen of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
