Cheating on driver’s test could give year’s quarantine before retake

Those who cheat on the driver’s test should now be quarantined for up to one year the government believes.

“Ensuring better road safety is one of the government’s most important tasks. Therefore, we must prevent unqualified drivers from getting out in traffic” said Jon Georg Dale, Transport Minister for Fremskrittsparti (Frp).

On Friday, the government proposed changes to the Road Traffic Act. Among other things, it was suggested that candidates who cheat on the driver’s test should get up to one year of quarantine before they can go for a new test.

In recent years, more and more people have been cheating during the test. Today, those cheating get the same quarantine period as those who fail, just two to four weeks before they can try again.
