A Chinese tourist was caught speeding 147km per hour in an 80 km zone on the E10 in Lofoten this past Monday. And on Tuesday, he began his sentence of 14 days imprisonment.

The man also loses the right to drive in Norway for 18 months after being caught speeding on a motorcycle earlier this week, writes Fremover.

– The man is from China and was arrested. The case was dealt with swiftly the next day at Vesterålen District Court as the driver confessed his guilt, the police in Nordland reported in a press release.

“The accused has been very cooperative and combined with a solution-oriented police and judicial system, this case was dealt with quickly and efficiently,” Linda Rømma says in Nordland police district.
