Extinction Rebellion Norway held an action for the climate in Oslo
on Saturday. Just over 30 people sat down in the Opera.

On Friday, the Norwegian division of Extinction Rebellion planted an apple tree in front of parliament, with the message that humanity is threatened with extinction if climate goals are not reached.

‘’This is about carbon storage and food production. Agriculture can be part of the solution to getting climate emissions to zero. Instead of agriculture accounting for 8% of climate emissions in Norway, they can help to take CO2 out of the atmosphere’’ spokesperson Dag Kolstø told NTB news on Friday.

On Saturday, the group were in action again, this time at the Opera.

They lay down and had several banners on which, among other things, it said “Rebellion for life” and “They die – we die” with pictures of animals. The activist group uses civil disobedience in the fight against climate destruction, which they demonstrated on Saturday.
