From Thursday morning and the following day the police will put in place special emergency measures against speeding across the country.

The Control Day , which has been named Speed Marathon will also be conducted in over 20 European countries under the auspices of the European traffic police cooperation TISPOL.
-The purpose of the monitoring measures is to prevent and detect speeding and to reduce the numbers killed and seriously injured on Norwegian roads, says UP chief Runar Karlsen in a statement.
