The Crown Prince couple on an eventful trip to Vestfold

HRH Haakon and Mette Marit visited, among other places, Edvard Munch’s house in Åsgårdstrand during their county trip of Vestfold.

The house crown prince visited on Wednesday was described by Munch himself as «the only cosy house» he had lived in, ever.

– Against this background, I believe that we can say that the world – and everyone who has a relationship with Munch’s art – has a lot to thank Åsgårdstrand for. He could obviously work well here. Immortal motives have been created right here, Crown Prince Haakon said.

The Crown Prince pair also visited the Fruktdugnad (Fruit cooperation) Organization, which together with a group of Syrian refugees, carries out fruit cooperation, for harvesting, language training and social gathering alike.

At the University of Southeastern Norway, the Crown Prince couple later heard about the close collaboration between university and business, where students can develop projects together with businesses. In some cases, jobs have come out of this cooperation.
