Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Dyrsku’n in Seljord and was able to watch the opening event’s 150th anniversary.

The Crown Princess was on Friday welcomed by, among others, the county governor Kari Nordheim-Larsen, Seljord mayor Halfdan Haugen and police commissioner Christine Falls in South-Eastern Police District.

The tour on Dyrsku Square also contained a very informal milk competition, where the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess did try skills against Agriculture Minister Jon Georg Dale (FRP) – without the help of a milking machine.

CEO for Dyrsku’n, Geir Helge Espedalen, calculated that as many as 40,000 visitors were within the gates of the event’s first day.

Dyrsku’n, the country’s major commercial and agricultural exhibition, ends Sunday.
