Crown Princess visit the new and old part of Oslo old town

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Oslo old town on Tuesday.

The district shows off old institutions such as Oslo Ladegård and later as Biblo Tøyen.

Oslo Mayor Marianne Borgen hosted Crown Prince couple during their district visits.

The visit started in Oslo Ladegård where archaeologist Petter Molaug told of Oslo in the Middle Ages.

Then continued to St. Hallvard-ruinen and to the Bispegårdens preserved room from Olavsklosteret.

On Tøyen, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were visiting Biblo, a separate branch library for children between 10 and 15 years. Then they visited Tøyen school and Outdoor center in Oslo old town.

Finally, the two visited Oslo Prison, where they met the principal and students at Grønland adult education center.
