Culture Minister Linda Hofstad Helleland hopes to get to a meeting with Norwegian editors and Facebook during the fall.

The theme is freedom of speech and Facebook’s role.
The Culture Minister hopes to initiate a meeting shortly, informed the Minister of Culture to the news channel NTB.

After massive pressure from, among others, Aftenposten and Prime Minister Erna Solberg the network giant Facebook Friday evening decided to accept that people are sharing the iconic image of the Vietnam War, of a then nine year old Kim Phuc.

She is naked in the picture, which violates Facebook’s guidelines for image use.
The case has created considerable international attention.
