Ministry of Justice will require notification and a specific place of residence when a person has been expelled from Norway for security reasons.

– Immigration cases affecting fundamental national interests are of a special nature and because of this the ministry may be granted the decision-making authority in these matters, Justice and Emergency Minister Anders Anundsen  says .
He believes it is reasonable that the ministry also should be able to provide general instructions on the use of coercive measures.
On Thursday the Ministry sent a proposal for consultation that involves new regulatory rules which states, when a foreigner is to be expelled for reasons of fundamental national interests that he should as a general rule,  be placed under police supervision or be instructed to stay at a specific place of residence, until he is finally expelled  .
Anundsen emphasises that it is still the police who has to decide on the use of coercive measures in individual cases.
