Oslo City Council has decided that diesel ban, date driving and closed parking spaces may be introduced this winter on days with high amounts of air pollution.
– Already tomorrow the city council will adopt a rush regulations on diesel ban in situations of acute air pollution, environment commissioner Lan Marie Nguyen Berg (MDG) said to Oslo City Council Wednesday.
The regulation applies only to rural roads, not highways. A number of vehicles are also exempt from the ban. This includes deliveries to Oslo, transport of persons with reduced mobility and driving to and from holiday and flights.
