The Polish driver of a tourist bus was halted considerably over the alcohol limit in Flåm in Sogn and Fjordane on Wednesday morning.

The bus was stopped at 08.10 on Wednesday when the police in Flåm were conducting an alcohol control. With the vehicle full of passengers, the Polish driver had to give a test after he was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, reported the police on Twitter.

When the driver gave a breathaliser test, it was well above the limit.

‘’Both the bus and the driver are from Poland. The driver is a man in his 40’s,’’ said operations manager, Per Algrøy, of the Western Police District to Bergens Tidende newspaper.

The tourists who took the bus were left without a driver afterwards.
