41 percent of the respondents think the government is doing a “good” or “very good” job in a new survey. 25 percent reply that it is doing a “poor” or “very poor.” job.
The figures come from the district barometer of the newspaper Nationen, which also looks into how satisfied or dissatisfied the voters of the different parties are with the government.
– It’s nice that so many people feel that the government does a good job in generel. The weeks of June are usually, of a little tough for the government, with a lot of issues up that may prove difficult up for discussion in the parliament. But it’s nice to get so positive feedback. I feel we’ve had great support, says Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
Not surprisingly, the Conservatives and the Progress Party voters are the ones most satisfied with the government, while Ap- and Sp-voters are the ones who least often think the government is doing a good job – at least among the group of voters of which separate figures are given.Even among those who vote for the supporting parties Left and Christian Democrats, there are more people are positive to the government than those who are negative.
What all the parties that are not a part of the government have in common, is that many of them choose the option “neither nor” when asked if they are satisfied or dissatisfied with the government. 50-percent of the Christian Democratic Party voters chooses this as their response, and among Ap-, SP and Left voters 34-40 percent are “on the fence”. In total 31 percent replies “neither nor” in the survey, which was conducted by Sentio.
