As a result of the warning of storms with thunder, heavy winds and heavy rainfall, Hafslund has increased the readiness of the operations center and added extra people.
“We have made agreements with emergency response contractors that they can mobilize large forces if needed, in addition to our own crews,” says communications manager Morten Schau at Hafslund Nett.
He warns people against approaching power lines that fall down, but asks them to report if they see power grid damage.
“We want to warn all about the dangers around power lines that have blown down and lie on the ground. They can be live wires, and touching them can lead to death,” says Schau.
