Prime Minister Erna Solberg  received a new Norwegian prize, The Please Prize. The initiator believes she can play a crucial part in freeing Africa’s last colony, Western Sahara.

The prize, awarded by the Norwegian Students ‘and Academics’ International Assistance Fund (SAIH), are not given for results, but aims to inspire world leaders to initiate new initiatives for peace.
– Erna enjoys the support of all parliamentary parties on the question of Western Sahara. Now we ask her simply to use this commitment to help bringing about  concrete policy measures for peace,  the head of SAIH, Nicklas Poulsen Viki, says.
Solberg received the prize along with the president of Western Sahara and the King of Morocco. Western Sahara has been partially occupied by Morocco since 1975. The United Nations has  tried to resolve the conflict since 1991, without any results.
The award ceremony will be held on March 14 at the House of Artists in Oslo.
