The man was acquitted on two points, but convicted on the remaining 223 points in the indictment. There were 108 aggrieved in total – most of them girls from 9 to 15 years. Most of the incidents he was sentenced for were abuses perpetrated through online chat systems, where the man has got girls down nine years old to commit  sexual, some of them severely sexual, acts.
The man also sexually assaulted three girls in their teens.
– The defendant has exposed a large number of children to degrading sexual experiences. Many of those affected have suffered significant psychological damage that has hampered their quality of life greatly,  according to the verdict of Gjøvik District Court.
The case is probably one of the most comprehensive sexual abuse charges that have been handled in a Norwegian court.
