Oslo Police District have extended the opening hours at the Passport office in Grønland with both evening and Saturday openings.

Even before the high season had begun, there was a long waiting time to get an hour for passport booking in Oslo. When 500 passport booking times were laid out for Saturday in March, those times were booked in an hour’’ wrote Aftenposten newspaper.

Now the police district is extending the opening hours to meet demand. From today, Monday, April 29, the passport office will be open until 17:30 on four days a week, as well as there being Saturday opening. The arrangement of the evening opening will be permanent,
while Saturday opening will apply until June.

The passport office is open to drop-in customers from 08.00 on weekdays (except Wednesdays). Saturdays will only be open for appointment bookings.
