Family of five crashed into rock wall

A family with two adults and three children were taken to hospital after running into a rock wall by Borlaug in Sogn and Fjordane on Sunday.

Police reported the accident to have occurred as a result of two trucks standing in the road at 11.20am. The driver of the passenger car chose to swing out to avoid the trucks and consiquently crashed into the rock face.
The air ambulance was first called, but it was canceled and the five were transported by ambulance to Laerdal hospital for check and observation.
– A seven year old boy has been sent to hospital with cuts to the head, the other four have come away from it without injury, said Espen Gulliksen, operations manager at the Western Police District in Floro, to NRK news.
Both the two adults and three children in the car was conscious when the police arrived.
The accident occurred on fv. 52 down from Hemsedalfjell.
