Five previous employees of the American embassy in Oslo have been sentenced to suspended prison terms and fines for tax evasion, according to TV 2 news.

The five men had military background and worked with the American embassy as guards, chauffeurs, and security staff. These figures were not reported to the Norwegian tax authorities.

The district court has sentenced the five men to suspended prison sentences ranging from 15 to 30 days and fines of 30,000 to 80,000 kroner.
