According to a recent poll, the government was rated an average of 3.4 on a scale of 1 to 6 for their efforts in solving problems related to health care.
“I would like to raise that number. I think it will happen when people see the results of our policy,” Health and Human Services’ Bent Høie said.
According to a TNS Gallup political health barometer, nine out of ten respondents expect the Parliament and the government to solve the current problems in health care, but barely four out of ten people think they have succeeded.
The Right and FRP government received 3.4 on average for their efforts in recent years.
Not unexpectedly, government parties were rated highest by its own voters, but not higher than 3.9 and 3.8 on average from Right and FRP voters respectively.
The over 75 population give the government a 3.9 average. Socialist voters are most critical and give the government’s efforts in health policy a 2.4.
According to the survey, most people also believe the issues within health care are one of the three biggest challenges facing Norway. Only immigration issues and falling oil prices, which receive constant media coverage, seen as more challenging.
