Oslo District Court believes there is obvious risk of recurrence and has maintained custody of Ubaydullah Hussain, who is accused of having recruited individuals for terrorist activities.

The trial against Hussain and a 19 years old man he allegedly enlisted to fight for IS, starts in Oslo District Court on November 3rd.

The former spokesman for the Prophet’s Ummah is the first in Norway who is charged under the rules on recruitment for terrorist activities.

He is also accused of having helped people with advice and equipment and also for giving them contact with people in IS.

Hussain has been in custody since he was arrested on December 10th last year.

He has several incarceration meetings after releasing his petition and reiterated the claim also on Thursday.

Lawyer John Christian Elden said before the remand hearing that the argument about the recurrence risk was significantly weaker after the indictment had been known.

The right party does not defend the view that suspicion basis is reduced and found no grounds for holding 31 years old man in prison until the trial begins.

The Court also notes that there is no danger that Hussain might sit longer in custody than what he might cause in sentenced if he is found guilty in the upcoming criminal case.
