“On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I express my heartfelt congratulations to all Norwegians while you celebrate your Constitution Day,” according to a statement from John Kerry.

The US Secretary of State writes in his May 17th greeting that the cooperation between the United States and Norway are strong and that the countries will remain “close partners in promoting a vision of a more prosperous, sustainable and secure world for us and for future generations.”
Kerry has even lived in Norway in its infancy and greets often Norwegians with some words in Norwegian.
“From Oslo to Minnesota (home state) to the largest Norwegian American community, will May the 17th be an occasion to celebrate the history, culture and the values which unite our nations together,” said the press release.
