King Harald will turn 79 on Sunday. He celebrates his birthday by going with friends on a winter holiday abroad.
This year King Harald spends his birthday abroad. He and Queen Sonja took a plane from Gardermoen in order to spend a well-deserved winter holiday with good friends, the resident expert of the Royal Family at TV 2, Kjell Arne Totland, says.
The King was recently present at the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, and in mid-January the government, the national media and the Royal Couple themselves marked the occasion of him and Queen Sonja having been Norway’s royal couple for 25 years.
