King Harald has sent a condolence message to the Greek president after the forest fires which have taken dozens of lives in Greece in recent days.
“On behalf of myself and the Norwegian people,I send you my condolences and my deepest compassion in these difficult times for your country and people,” wrote Harald in a message addressed to President Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
The king asked the president to convey his condolences and compassion to the relatives,injured and others affected.
“It makes me sad to hear about the dreadful forest fires that have hit the Attica region and led to the loss of so many human lives, and to so many missing and injured and such great devastation’’, it is said in the King’s message of condolence.
