Man from Croatia died after falling from a high-tension in Agder

A man has died after a fall of between 30 and 35 meters from a high-tension in the northeast of Flekkefjord in Vest-Agder on Friday morning.

The police in Agder says that the accident occurred in the west of Sandvatnet, situated about three kilometers northeast of the Gyland railway station. Gyland is located as the crow flies about one mile northeast of Flekkefjord.
The police was notified about the accident at 9:50. The police including an ambulance and a rescue helicopter were sent to the accident’s site. The police also sent a crime technician to the site.
The Newspaper Fædrelandsvennen writes that an intensive work is currently being put into place to upgrade and build new power transmission lines in the area. According to the newspaper, there are 120 workers from the Croatian company Dalekovod, working on this project. Dalekovod is the main contractor of the project.
