A man who threatened one Narvesen employee with a knife at Oslo on Friday evening was arrested by police shortly thereafter.

The man held a knife against the neck of another woman.
The police were notified of the situation 21:30 on Friday night.
“The offender held a knife against the throat and stomach of the woman. It is uncertain whether this was a robbery, but the situation was described as a hostage situation as it unfolded,” said operations at Oslo police Christian Krohn Hengeseth to newspaper VG.
Police have denoted the perpetrator as ‘unstable’ and say they know very little about the motive.
“It is far from certain that this happened for profit. The perpetrator is now in jail and will be questioned during the day,” said operations manager Finn Belle to news agency NTB on Saturday morning.
The incident happened at a big Narvesen kiosk in the departure hall at Oslo Central Station.
An area around the kiosk was blocked off, but traffic from the station went normally.
