Man with life threatening injuries in a bad accident in Oslo

A man in his 20’s has been sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries after jumping into the water at Sørenga Sjøbad in Oslo on Saturday night.

 

According to the police in Oslo, he hit his head as he jumped into the water to swim. What he had hit his head on is unknown.

The police were notified of the accident by the fire department at 02.33.

‘’On-site witnesses have stated that two people were swimming and one of them was seriously injured. There was a doctor on the spot who jumped into the water and gets him out. He then began heart and lung treatment with the police at the scene,’’ said operations manager, Rune Ullsand, of Oslo Police District to NTB news.

Shortly thereafter, the man was sent to a hospital in an ambulance.

According to Ullevål Hospital, he received life-threatening injuries.
