A man of 20 years was arrested at Karmøy after he pulled out a machete in front of police.
Police in Karmøy moved out on Sunday morning after receiving a message about violence and suspicion of drunken driving.
The car would not stop for inspection, and it resulted in a car chase, police said in a statement.
The car was later found empty in Torvastad, and a police dog was then used in the search for the driver who was also suspected of having threatened a woman in her 20s with a knife.
Police found the driver, a man in his 20s at 8.50am. Then they tried to arrest him, and he pulled out a machete.
“A relatively dramatic situation, but no one was injured during the arrest,” writes the police. The arrested man is now in custody.
