Man sentenced to twelve years in prison for multiple rapes

Than 42 years old Swedish citizen has been  sentenced to twelve years in prison by the Stavanger District Court for the rape of eight women. The man also has to pay a million NOK in damages.
All of the eight women were prostitutes, the newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad writes.
The rapes allegedly occurred in hotel rooms and massage institutions throughout southern Norway.
– The verdict will be appealed. Beyond this, I have no comments, the lawyer of the 42-year-old , Knut Lerum said.
The man  was said to have pretended to be a policeman and threatened the prostitute women into having sex with him. 42-year-old acknowledged that he meet with the women, showed a fake police badge and carried a starting gun in his belt. He refuses to have threatened the women.
According to the indictment, he pretended to be a policeman in order to collect information about prostitution traffickers and the bosses of the prostitutes.
