Wages for managers in Norway have risen by 10.4 percent since last year, according to the Norwegian Management Barometer.

It is the Work science Institute that have examined the working conditions for Norwegian managers on behalf of employee organization leaders. The survey shows that the salary of this group is on average at 689,200 kroner per year.

Wage growth following two years of negative growth.

– Gross salaries of managers fell 1.5 percent between 2013 and 2014 due to the restructuring in the oil sector and the implications this has had in other industries. Thus it is not surprising that wages have now risen somewhat, says Jan Olav Brekke.

The survey shows that there are large geographical differences in wage levels for managers.

The highest wages are found in oil and gas county of Rogaland, where the average is at 817,300 kroner. Bottom of the list is Oppland, where a junior manager salary average is at 505,800 kroner.
