The new National Museum in Oslo has the best result of the buildings built by Public Construction and building in terms of cuts in greenhouse gas emissions.

According to Statsbygg itself  a cut of 88,000 tonnes of CO2 is the equivalent to a reduction of 50 percent. The museum uses a heat pump with seawater and low-carbon concrete.
The greatest relative reduction in emissions is at Campus Evenstad at Hedmark University College, which has zero emissions.
– Statsbygg are doing our share to contribute to helping the climate. Public buildings which are to open in the coming years, will contribute to significant cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, says CEO Harald V. Nikolaisen.
Buildings account for a third of all greenhouse gas emissions in the world and 40 percent of the energy consumption. The long term goal of Statsbygg is that emissions are to be reduced to zero, while the goal by 2018 is to cut emissions from new buildings by an average of 30 percent.
