New heat record for February in Bergen

On Tuesday, a new heat record was set for February in Bergen, when the temperature reached 13.5 degrees.

The old record was 13.2 degrees and was set on February 23, 2006.

The average temperature so far this month is 5.1 degrees and is only 0.4 degrees away from the hottest recorded for the month of February in Bergen, says the Meteorological Institute.

The last two days of February, meteorologists believe saw between 7 and 9 degrees . The average temperature over the last 30 days has been 4.5 degrees, which is 3.1 degrees above normal.
