For the first time in seven years, Norway is no longer top the list of the world’s best country to live in, found a British survey.
Norway topped the list (among 149 countries) for seven consecutive years in the study of the British Legatum Institute, wrote E24.

But this year, New Zealand occupies first place, while Norway must be content with second place.

There are conditions for conducting business, health and economy that draw Norway down the list.

In the are of economics, Norway fell from fourth to seventh place, probably due to the oil downturn and rising unemployment.

The survey takes into account 103 parameters of living conditions, including GDP per capita, number of employees working full time, social-capital, corruption, violence and crime.
