Prime Minister Erna Solberg will have a large part of the government with her on Tuesday when she presents Norway’s plans for the leadership of the Council of Ministers.

From January 1 throughout 2017, the Norwegian government will lead the cooperation of the Nordic Council. The program will be presented when the Nordic leaders gather in Copenhagen this week.

– The principle is that the Nordic countries have many of the same challenges, says Europe minister Elisabeth Vik Aspaker to news agency NTB.

It is her who will coordinate cooperation under the Norwegian chairmanship.

The details of the program will be made known on Tuesday, but climate, green restructuring, competitiveness and closer cooperation in the Nordic and Baltic countries are among the headlines.

Also Foreign Minister Brende, Minister of Culture Linda Hofstad Helleland, Climate and Environment Minister Vidar Helgesen and Minister Torbjørn Røe Isaksen will participate in Denmark.
