Norway will be looking at Finnish health solutions

Our Finnish neighbors are more advanced in dealing with personalized patient care. It will be an important topic during the state visit next week.

Finnish are now well positioned with initiatives and projects of “one citizen – one journal” which also is the Norwegian government’s vision for IKT in the health sector. The idea is that the journal to accompany the patient, no matter which doctor or institution treated them.

– Finland has made several interesting choices in this area that we want to learn from. They have started introducing national solutions for storage of health information, said Health and Human Services Minister Bent Høie to news agency NTB

He is one of four ministers accompanying the royal couple in Finland from Tuesday to Thursday.
