A new Eurobarometer shows that the atmosphere may have reversed in the UK. Today, 53 percent of British respondents say they would vote to stay in the EU.

The new Eurobarometer takes the temperature of voters in all 28 member countries of the EU. A total of 27,474 Europeans have participated in the survey.

The poll shows strong and increasing support for the EU project. All in all, 68 percent say they believe their home country has benefited from their membership.  The EU has not been this popular since 1983.

In the UK, 53 percent say they would have voted to stay in the EU today. Only 35 percent say they would have voted to leave, whilst 12 percent say they are unsure.
