One person died when a tank that took part in NATO exercise Cold Response collided with a passenger car in Snåsa  onMonday.
The accident occurred around 9:40  on the county road 763, 22 km south of Snåsa. The tank was driving southwest  and collided with a car which was heading in the opposite direction.
– There was only one person in the car, while there were two people from the Norwegian Armed Forces in the tank. This was a meeting accident, but we do not know the circumstances surrounding the accident yet,  operations Rune Reinsborg in Trøndelag Police   said to the news agency NTB.

    My heart is heavy with sadness for the country of Norway. I know the Norwegian military has heavy hearts as well. The people of Norway have been so exceptionally kind to be the host country for this exercise and all participating military members are sad with the loss of a civilian life. Semper Fi, Norway.
